About

A Missouri native, I grew up in a rural small town and attended MU where I studied Business Administration, earning both a B.S. and an MBA.  I later returned to MU to earn an M.A. in Library Science.

I have line-level experience in technical manufacturing, automotive, and warehousing.  I have been with my present employer for 7 years and am currently the inventory clerk for the parts department where I ship and receive shipments and account for the shelving of over 31,000 unique items.  I also place our orders with GM and track their progress.

I am quite happy with my current position and industry, but I am also attracted to Library Science.

I became interested in library science as a way to channel my education and interests into a socially worthwhile endeavor while still doing the sort of professional work I originally planned to do in the private sector.  My father was a high school teacher and my wife is a teaching professor at MU:  so I feel attached to the Academy and Education generally and would welcome the opportunity to remain involved in the community of words.
